ICS luncheon talk in Montreal – June 8th , 2016

An ICS luncheon talk was held in Montreal on June 8th 2016. The topic was “The Reform of the UK Marine Insurance Act 2015”. We were very happy to have as our speaker, Vanessa Rochester from Norton Rose Fulbright Canada, who was a wonderful guide to the important and complex topic of marine insurance law.
Among the key points emphasised were how the law is catching up with practice, how disclosure will become a more co-operative activity and the question of how the law will play out in the courts. Many examples, analogies and cases were given. Attendees participated actively with a number of questions and comments .
We hope that many were inspired to learn more about the topic afterwards!
